The AHUA Annual Art Exhibition provides the UCI community with the opportunity to cultivate their artistic skills and showcase their art, develop connections across disciplines, provide meaningful exposure to the arts, and support efforts to make the arts a stronger, more pervasive part of the UCI student experience. The opening reception of our exhibition provides aspiring artists with valuable exposure to, and the opportunity for dialogue with, collectors, other artists, and the UCI community.

The theme of the ’25-’26 exhibition is “Cultivating Dreamscapes”: Our exhibition theme draws upon the inherent surrealism and fantasy of dreams and invites artists to apply these qualities to our concrete reality. There are many different interpretations of the word “dream”: dreams we have in our sleep that are products of our unconscious mind; memories of the past that may haunt or comfort us, colored with time; collective dreams for the future of our community, our society, and our world as a whole. These dreams may be forgotten as soon as we wake up, or they may stay with us for a lifetime. They are ephemeral by nature, and yet can persist for generations until they are fulfilled or forgotten.
