Film Screening with Al'Ikens Plancher

Film Screening November 19, 2025

Please join us in screening several short films along with a talk back with their creator Al’Ikens Plancher. Plancher is a writer-director who has worked on “The Chi” and “Yellowstone” series. His award-winning short films have been screened at several film festivals such as The Tribeca Film Festival and HBO Best Short Film. Additionally, his work has been written about in Vanity Fair, Variety, the Miami New Times, and the Haitian Times. The screening will start at 6:30pm on November 19th. There will be four shorts shown and the author will be in conversation with a member of the Department of Film and Media. Plancher will talk about his process and the messages behind the films as well as take calls from the audience. Refreshments will be served!
