Have you ever considered the connection between food and justice? Although everyone experiences the sensation of hunger, do you know that our society is also hungry? Hunger is not only about NOT having enough food; it is also about not having the right kind of food. Are you longing for REAL food?

Kristina Wong, author, performance artist, and Pulitzer Prize Finalist in Drama will help us untangle all these complicated issues related to food (in)justice in our society. Through writing, performance, humor, and activism, Kritina Wong tells us that food injustice is a systemic issue and it takes ALL of us to solve the problem. As a performer and co-author of Auntie Kristina's Guide to Asian American Activism (with Theodore Chao, Jenessa Joffe, Anna Michelle, and Shehzil [illustrator]), she will discuss her book and her food activism related performances during her talk.

Chef Stephie and her fabulous team will cook a yummy, healthy, and highly affordable meal. Let’s try to target the hunger issue by learning about food justice and sustainable eating.

DIRECTIONS: Go to the ARC (Anteater Rec. Center) and tell the front desk that you're here for the cooking event. Head up the stairs take a left and follow the hallway all the way down past the indoor track and take a right at the end of the hallway.
