A conversation with award-winning playwright Benjamin Benne.
We’re often taught that Drama is characters with objectives in conflict with each other. But what are other sites of Drama that we can utilize in our writing? Inspired by the writings of bell hooks, Gloria Anzaldúa, Maria Irene Fornes, Sarah Ruhl, among others, let’s explore some alternatives to objective, tactic, and want. We’ll also look at examples of stories that may inspire us to move beyond a dramatic lens rooted in materialism and Capitalism. We invite anyone and everyone interested in the magic of storytelling. www.BenjaminBenne.com
