Honor the memories of loved ones and celebrate life with us at UC Irvine’s beloved Día de los Muertos.

🕯️ Honor Your Loved Ones: Be part of something beautiful! Our community altar—both physical and digital—invites you to celebrate those who live on in our hearts. Share a photo and a dedication (up to 100 words) of your loved one by emailing secomm@uci.edu with “altar” in the subject line. Include their name, dates of birth and death, your name, and your heartfelt message. Your tribute will be featured on our website and at the event.
Student members of the university's MEChA (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanx de Aztlan) are creating the physical altar, which is the centerpiece of the event.

🎨 Family-Friendly Activities:

Delicious FREE food: Tamales, pan de muerto, champurrado, aguas frescas and more!
Sugar skull decorating, brought to you by UC Irvine's Bilingual Teacher Student Assn.
Face painting, crafts, dancing and more!
