About Us
The purpose of the organization is to provide a supportive and creative environment where individuals can explore art as a tool for personal growth, emotional healing, and self-expression. The club's mission is to foster mental and emotional well-being through artistic activities, workshops, lectures, and clinical experiences that allow participants to engage in a therapeutic process. In the short term, the organization aims to offer regular sessions that introduce various art forms, providing participants with space and guidance to express their emotions in a safe and non-judgmental setting. Also, having professional therapists across multiple disciplines lecture during meetings, members will have a unique opportunity to learn what the profession is like. The long-term goal is to inevitably create a close-knit community where like-minded members at UCI can develop their creative skills, gain clinical experience, promote mental wellness, and raise awareness about the benefits of art therapy. The club's audience includes students, faculty, and community members who are interested in the intersection of art and mental health, regardless of their prior experience in art. The organization is dedicated to making a positive impact on the mental health landscape by offering a unique and accessible approach to therapy that combines creativity with emotional support.
