About Us
The Women’s Gaming Club is a community dedicated to supporting female gamers and game developers, encouraging them to share their unique experiences in gaming and their expertise in game development. The club was founded with the mission of challenging stereotypes and biases against women in gaming communities, as well as addressing the underrepresentation of female developers in the gaming industry. We aim to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where women can express themselves freely and contribute to the world of games. Women’s Gaming Club regularly organizes activities like game creation events (e.g., Game Jams), providing opportunities for collaboration and growth. Additionally, we plan to invite accomplished female professionals from renowned gaming companies to UCI for guest lectures, where they can share their insights and career experiences. We warmly welcome individuals of all genders, nationalities, and cultural backgrounds to join us, share their thoughts and ideas about gaming, and contribute to fostering diversity in the gaming industry!
