The Ants in Your Plants Garden is a student led garden in Arroyo Vista Housing. We are a group of dedicated students who love being outdoors and seeing the wonderful plants and organisms that thrive in the garden. The primary mission of the garden is to provide UCI students an opportunity to learn about food systems through volunteering and workshops. It’s a student effort to fight food insecurity on campus and promote sustainable practices. In addition to educational and recreational uses, the garden grows produce to be donated to the FRESH Pantry at the UCI Basic Needs Center.

The Garden is supported in collaboration by ASUCI Garden Commission (IVP), UCI Housing, UCI Sustainability Resource Center (SRC), and the UCI Basic Needs Center.

The University of California at Irvine and the Department of Athletics has made a commitment to the academic progress of our Student-Athletes and we make every effort to provide a comprehensive network of academic and life skills support for the Student-Athlete's use in the pursuit of a degree. With the academic and life skills support programs offered within our department and the resources available on campus, student-athletes are capable of achieving their dreams and goals both academically and athletically.

We serve 400 student-athletes in 18 varsity sports. Due to the size of the department and the number of students we monitor, we as an academic and student services staff, can deal effectively with problems and come up with solutions rapidly while maintaining close contact with our student-athletes, coaches and professors alike. This flexibility allows an aggressive approach to providing services to our student-athletes, as evidenced by our Study Table and Grade Check programs.

Beall Student Design Competition at The Henry Samueli School of Engineering
Offered to encourage the creation of new technologies, or solutions to current design problems that have the potential for commercialization. Ideas and products are evaluated on their technological merits as well as potential to impact the marketplace. Students are encouraged to submit new product ideas that involve the development of hardware and devices. Products that entail integration are acceptable as long as there is a substantial development effort.

The competition is open to all UCI students. Teams must be composed of at least two (2) students, one (1) of which must be enrolled at The Henry Samueli School of Engineering.

Butterworth Product Development Competition at the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences

The CEM creates a physical, intellectual and organizational environment for the study of epigenetics and the relationship with cellular metabolism. The CEM has privileged relationships with other Centers of Epigenetics in Southern California.
