UCI Teach Day is an all-day event for UCI faculty, staff, and graduate students to celebrate effective teaching and learning and learn more about how to foster a culture of inclusion and equity for our undergraduates. The conference portion of the event will run from 9:00 am to 2:15 pm at the Anteater Learning Pavilion and will include a keynote address, breakout sessions, and a poster session. We are excited to welcome Dr. Linda Adler-Kassner, Associate Vice Chancellor of Teaching and Learning and Distinguished Professor of Writing Studies at UC Santa Barbara, as our keynote speaker. The day’s sessions will include presentations on cutting edge teaching activities, education research, professional development opportunities, and facilitated discussions on pressing educational issues. If you would like to apply to present a digital poster, please submit a brief proposal by August 14th.
UCI Teach Day will end with our 34th Annual Celebration of Teaching, held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Division of Continuing Education Yosemite Conference Rooms. The Celebration of Teaching serves as an opportunity to recognize the Dr. De Gallow Professor of the Year, Most Promising Future Faculty, Dean’s Honorees, and additional instructors who have been honored with a teaching award over the past year.
