Housing is looking for Zero Waste Ambassadors, aka “Trash Talkers!” to assist Move-In Weekend on Sept. 19-20, 2026. These Trash Talkers will be helping new Anteaters to properly recycle materials such as cardboard and foam within resident communities during the mornings and afternoons (3 hour shifts, 10am-1pm or 1pm-4pm or 4pm-7pm).

Only volunteers who register for 2 shifts in one day by 9.12 will be provided with one meal pass per day.
  • There will be a brief online Trash Talker training via Zoom on September 14th, 2:30-3:30 p.m. The session will be recorded. 
  • Your UCI Housing assignments will be sent around Sept. 1. We will work to set your shifts in your home community if preffered.
