The UC Irvine Law Center on Globalization, Law, and Society welcomes Nina Jankowicz to present: War on Reality: How Autocrats Are Silencing Truth Tellers Around the World.

About  Nina Jankowicz:
Nina Jankowicz is an internationally recognized expert on disinformation and democratization and one of TIME Magazine’s 100 most influential people in artificial intelligence. She is the co-founder and CEO of the American Sunlight Project, a bipartisan group dedicated to increasing the cost of lies that undermine democracy.

Jankowicz is the author of How to Lose the Information War (Bloomsbury, 2020), named a New Statesman book of the year, and How to Be A Woman Online (Bloomsbury, 2022), praised as “essential” by Publisher’s Weekly. She has advised governments, international organizations, and tech companies; testified before the U.S. Congress and multiple foreign parliaments; and led research on the impact of disinformation on women, minorities, and democratic activists.

She holds a Master’s degree from Georgetown University and a Bachelor’s degree from Bryn Mawr College.
