1Ls MANDATORY*: Resumes, Cover Letters, and Other Application Materials

This mandatory* workshop for 1Ls will focus on resumes, cover letters, writing samples, and other frequently requested application documents, which are necessary to help you land summer, school-year, and post-grad positions.

At the presentation, you will receive a handout, which will be referenced throughout the presentation. While this handout provides some examples, the CDO's Applications & Interviews page includes extensive guides to Resumes, Cover Letters, Writing Samples, Transcripts, and References.

*This workshop is not mandatory for 1Ls who have had their resumes reviewed by the CDO in advance of this workshop and received an e-mail from their primary counselor that they are not required to attend this workshop. Even if you are not required to attend this workshop, attendance may be helpful as you prepare other application materials in the future, including cover letters.
