When we think about climate anxiety, it often shows up as fear, helplessness, or shutdown, especially when environmental education focuses heavily on crisis without pathways for action. This roundtable will explore the concept of ecophobia, how it impacts students’ emotional well-being, and how education can either reinforce anxiety or help transform it into empowerment.
Together, we’ll reflect on how educators, students, and communities can foster curiosity, resilience, and agency through more balanced and solution-oriented approaches to climate learning. We’ll also talk about how education can move beyond fear to inspire connection, care, and meaningful engagement 🌿
Come share your thoughts, listen to others, and be part of a space focused on learning, growth, and collective care 🤝
