Picture of Harita

Team Member Highlight!

Hello, my name is Harita. I’m a third-year criminology and CS double major! As the garden coordinator, my role includes maintaining the garden, figuring out what to plant, and teaching the weekly university studies garden class! I have always loved gardening, and I use a lot of the produce from the garden in my own cooking. I wanted to make friends and find a fun sustainability community on campus with structure, and this ticked off all those criteria! My job is a lot more work than people realize, and it is very people-oriented. Fostering a connection with participants is super important to me.
