About Us

The Ants in Your Plants Garden is a student led garden in Arroyo Vista Housing. We are a group of dedicated students who love being outdoors and seeing the wonderful plants and organisms that thrive in the garden. The primary mission of the garden is to provide UCI students an opportunity to learn about food systems through volunteering and workshops. It’s a student effort to fight food insecurity on campus and promote sustainable practices. In addition to educational and recreational uses, the garden grows produce to be donated to the FRESH Pantry at the UCI Basic Needs Center. The Garden is supported in collaboration by ASUCI Garden Commission (IVP), UCI Housing, UCI Sustainability Resource Center (SRC), and the UCI Basic Needs Center.
