What is BTSA's mission or focus?
This organization’s mission is to develop and support future educators while promoting the importance of Bilingual Education. It also aims to create a space for those interested in learning more about Bilingual Education and connecting with fellow aspiring teachers.
We organize a variety of events guided by our four core pillars: Academics, Socials, Mentorship, and Volunteering:
Our Academic events include informational meetings / workshops. Socials bring our community together through engaging activities like Cultural Nights and Vision Board Making. Through our M&M Mentorship Program, we pair our members to provide personalized support. Finally, our volunteering allow members to give back to the community.
At the Bilingual Teacher Student Association, we believe Bilingual Education is the future of education in the United States. With more and more dual immersion schools opening up around the state of California, BTSA wants to be a source of information for students who want to know more about bilingual education.

* How can students get involved (or how can faculty/staff support your work)?
The best way to get involved is just to show up to meetings! We also offer a membership and do fundraisers sometimes, so if you’d like to support us, those would be the best ways to do so.
* Do you have any upcoming goals (recruitment, fundraising, event, advocacy, etc.) you’d like to share?
