About Us

UCI CalTeach is a program for undergraduate science and mathematics majors interested in exploring a career in education. Through our coursework, students learn teaching skills and practice these methods in local K-12 classrooms. CalTeach offers a unique opportunity for students to complete a bachelor's degree concurrently with a California single-subject teaching credential in just four years! The single-subject teaching credential is for teaching in middle school or high schools only. UCI CalTeach is jointly sponsored by the Schools of Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Education.
