Growing up in Santa Ana, I faced poverty, gang violence, and my parents’ incarceration before I was two.
I spent my first years in foster care and often felt invisible, but I made it here, and so can you.
Most importantly, I joined USI to make sure that anyone affected by incarceration or the system knows they truly belong at UCI. Your story matters, and your struggles are your strength.
We’re here to lift each other up, break the cycle, and prove that nothing can hold us back if we support one another. If you ever feel alone or need someone who understands, I’m in your corner. Let’s change what’s possible, together.

Proud double major in Criminal Law & Society and Urban Planning & Public Policy, graduating this August and heading to law school
I joined USI because I’m deeply passionate about supporting system-impacted and formerly incarcerated students. With my own lived experience, I strive to uplift, guide, and remind others that their past does not define their future.
Being a mom is my greatest joy. I love playing with my son, hiking, lifting in the gym, and truly living life to the fullest. I’m here to advocate, to stand in the gap, and to be a voice for students when they need one most.
